  • weekend shift-Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6am-6pm

 Starting pay $13.50/hr +2.00 shift differential

Material Handler is responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Additionally, this position checks all inbound and outbound products and ensures that products are free of damage and infestation and that product code dates are properly recorded and match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 50% of specified shift.
  • Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer's order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correctly.
  • Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
  • Maintain the facility and the facility's equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and the customer.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program is required within the first 30 days of employment
  • 6-months warehouse experience preferred
  • 6-months forklift operator experience preferred with strong preference for previous standup forklift operator experience
  • Ability to work specified shifts
  • Ability to spend 50% of time physically loading product onto equipment, pallets or totes.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management system equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
  • Ability to identify and locate products which requires reading, counting, accurately performing simple math calculations, and printing product code on applicable documents
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
